INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A crewman for Dale Coyne Racing was hospitalized Friday after being knocked to the ground in the pits by Danica Patrick's incoming car during practice for the Indianapolis 500.
"I really don't remember how it happened," Buckman said. "All I remember is I was talking with someone on Marco Andretti's team, and then everything is blank from that point. I will be OK and hopefully back to work in a day or two."
The front of Patrick's No. 7 car hit Buckman, who appeared to then hit his head on the rear of the
car before tumbling to the ground.
The car was heavily damaged.
