Anywho, I doubt I'll be playing Conan since I've not played enought WoW to be tired of it yet. I've read all of the Howard Conans, all the L.Sprague DeCamp finished stories and a few of the ones published in the 80's but haven't felt the urge to really read much Heroic Barbarism or Sword and Sorcery stuff in years. I read all of the Fafrd and the Grey Mouser stuff, read all of Lumley's Theem'hdra stuff ( great btw ). Besides, WotLK is coming and I have to be ready for it. Untill another Super Hero game comes out, I'll stick with WoW. Come on sucker, lick my battery

They seem to update a lot and add engame content, however. I was in WOW for a while, but never really got into it. I haven't found a game I really liked since the Pre Combat Upgrade SWG. Dropped after a month because it didn't seem geared for casual play. Especially in the lvl 40-50 range, everything required grouping and/or a bard. At 50 it was just terrible for any sort of solo questing. I currently have the Early Access download running for Age of Conan. it allows me to start a few days earlier than open release, I think I can start the 17th of this month. PreCombat Upgrade/NGE SWG was perhaps the greatest of all mmorpgs. I truly hope I never run into John Smedley for fear of the berzerker rage that would come over me. How on earth, he could actually go on to become the President of Sony Entertainment is beyond belief. The epitome of criminally retarded. That's like a waiter who deliberately gives customers food poisoning being promoted to head chef.

And you needed a minstrel, not a bard ;) I think they realized it was an issue and were trying to fix it. I'm gonna check out age of conan, I think. At least the site so I can see what it is about. It is a real crime what SOE did to SWG. Sure, the buff bots and dance bots were a tedious part of game play... the housing/city system, the way they did professions and the customization was just so far above anything out there. It could have been fixed instead of going to a more WOW like interface. I'm a big fan of the SW and LOTR universes, so I would rather stick with them. It looks promising, but could turn out to be a WoW clone. If I had time I'd complete my app, I know I'd at least get a return on it. I had high hopes for Marvel Superheroes, but it's been squashed. I loved City of Heroes, it took a while to get all the back story since it was spread out out over so many origins, but the mechanics worked. Yeah it started out pretty simple, but grew and grew till they finally had all the conventional MMORPG stuff like bases and crafting of a sort. Besides, I loved being a super hero.
